Hurricane Dorian, a category 5 hurricane, sat on top of the Bahamas for over 24 hours, causing immense destruction and devastation to what is known as one of the most beautiful places on earth.
A campaign for relief efforts has been initiated at Global Giving here.
According to the campaign:
Donate to Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in the Bahamas. This disaster relief fund will support people impacted by Hurricane Dorian’s storm system in the form of emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine, in addition to longer-term recovery assistance to help residents recover and rebuild. All donations to this fund will exclusively support relief and recovery efforts in areas impacted by this storm.
Satellite imagery of a major storm and the devastation it leaves in its wake is always stunning.
But @iceyefi's X2 satellite is taking photos as #HurricaneDorian is happening, such as this view of flooding on the Grand Bahama island during the storm.https://t.co/9MRbLhEfwZ pic.twitter.com/OS4hdG5ipF
